About this event
Guitarist Max Zaska brings his 6-piece band ZASKA to Monasterevin for his first home show. ZASKA has sold out the legendary upstairs at Ronnie Scott’s in London and shows at the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival and The Button Factory, Dublin. ZASKA’s high-energy live shows leave audiences buzzing with media describing performances as “masterful,” “incomparable,” and “joyous.”
Known for collaborations with Irish vocalists, including Hozier, ZASKA is hailed as an innovator in building Ireland’s rising soul-jazz scene. Blending influences from Silk Sonic, Snarky Puppy, Tom Misch and Nubiyan Twist with a guitar style that pulls from greats Wes Montgomery, John Scofield, Nile Rodgers, and Carlos Santana Max creates a sound uniquely ZASKA.
ZASKA’s forthcoming 3rd studio album NECTAR is an upbeat and danceable with singles What We Had (feat. shiv) and No Right Time (feat. Melina Malone). Look for future singles featuring Gemma Dunleavy, Mik Pyro, and jarjarjr.
