About this event
An Introduction to Jazz from Louis Armstrong to La La Land
Tim will tell the 100 year old story of Jazz from the earliest days in New Orleans to the world-wide music of today’s improvisers. We are delighted to welcome Tim back after his hugely popular series last Winter featuring 6 Choral Masterpieces in 6 Great Cities. Tim is a broadcaster, lecturer and writer on the widest range of music from Gregorian Chant to Contemporary Jazz. His programme on sacred music, Gloria, ran for 18 years on RTÉ Lyric FM and he is renowned for sharing his enthusiasm and deep knowledge of music with audiences.
