Sultan Stevenson

About this event

Sultan Stevenson still, at the tender age of 24 has captivated the jazz scene with his incredible performances and original musical compositions.

Over the last 3-4 years he has emerged as the future superstar of the jazz world. He has played sold-out shows around London and the south of England. He also toured in Ireland in October 2023 to great acclaim and now, as we enter 2025 he is set to conquer Europe with huge demand from Festivals and clubs.

Sultan Stevenson stands out as one of London's most vibrant young jazz talents today. He honed his craft at both the Julian Joseph Jazz Academy and Tomorrow’s Warriors, studying under luminaries like Julian Joseph, Gary Crosby, Simon Purcell, and Robert Mitchell. Graduating from The Guildhall School of Music in 2023 with a focus on jazz piano further solidified his musical prowess.

Sultan's momentum shows no signs of slowing. He earned prestigious showcase slots at SXSW in Texas as part of the jazz Re:freshed 'outernational' event. Additionally, he performed a Jazzahead Showcase in Germany, Brick Lane Jazz Festival, and the sold-out Cheltenham Jazz Festival. His recent interview and live performance on BBC Radio 3 highlights his growing influence and reach within the jazz world. You can see his JazzAhead performance linked below.

Sultan’s debut album, Faithful One helped to earn him a Parliamentary Jazz Award in 2023 for best newcomer. Now Sultan has signed with the prestigious label Edition Records and will release El Roi in March 2025. An album critics are already calling “... a gigantic step forward…”

Don’t miss this opportunity to see one of the brightest stars of his generation live.

…a vivid, dramatic piece of work, melodic and free from dissonance, replete with both light and shade, and infused with the strength and confidence of a far more seasoned musician. Jazzwise on Faithful One
