About this event
These five musicians came together to explore new music and revitalize old. Music is constantly evolving and each musician has an influence on how a given piece sounds, and so the idea of The Workshop is born.
The five band members have all worked together in many different groups over the years and now form a core of creativity within Dublin's jazz and improvised music scene. Collectively the band present an extensive CV, connected to luminaries such as Louis Stewart, the Guilfoyles, Buckleys, Tommy Halferty, The Commitments, OKO, and everything from mainstream to avant garde music.
Chris Engel - Sax
Bill Blackmore - Trumpet
Darragh O'Kelly - Piano
Cormac O'Brien - bass
Matt Jacobson - Drums
