About this event
Hugh Buckley/Damian Evans/Cormac Larkin
We are thrilled to welcome to Kilkenny one of Ireland’s top guitarists, the fabulous Hugh Buckley. Hugh has played all over the world with some of the biggest names in music, including Louis Stewart, Honor Heffernan, Van Morrison, Lisa Stansfield and Tim Ries. He has appeared on countless albums as a sideman, released three critically acclaimed albums under his own name, and was producer and guitarist on Ronnie Drew’s emotional 2008 release, 'The Last Session - A Fond Farewell'. Along with his cousins, Richie and Michael Buckley, he was the subject of the RTE documentary 'The Living Bridge - A Family Affair' (see clip below).
Joining him for this impromptu trio session are in-demand Australian-born bassist Damian Evans and Sofa Sessions regular, drummer Cormac Larkin.
