The Dublin Jazz Co-op Presents: Joanna Mattrey & Nick Roth
Curated by Jenna Harris
Experience an afternoon of bold and boundary-pushing music with violist Joanna Mattrey and saxophonist Nick Roth at the Dublin Jazz Co-op.
Joanna Mattrey combines free improvisation, contemporary composition, and classical techniques to create performances that are both innovative and deeply immersive. Known for her use of extended techniques and electronic effects, Joanna has worked with artists like Tyshawn Sorey, Henry Threadgill, and John Zorn, earning her reputation as a “force of nature” (Foxydigitals).
Nick Roth is a saxophonist and composer who explores the intersection of music, science, and storytelling. His work blends improvisation and composition while drawing inspiration from collaborations with scientists, poets, and visual artists.
Curated by Jenna Harris, this event promises an inspiring and unique musical experience you won’t want to miss.
