‘Charles Mingus was one of Jazz and American Music's most important and influential composers, and was a pioneering virtuoso bassist. His music spanned multiple genres with influences ranging from Modern Classical music, Folk music, Blues and early Jazz. This instantly recognizable sound and his assertive personality has made him one of the most imposing figures in Jazz.

Dublin Bassist Eoin O'Halloran has put together a set which he thinks represents the power, diversity and sheer excitement of Mingus's wide repertoire. Joined by longstanding collaborators Yuzuha O'Halloran, Patrice Brun, Graeme Bourke and Hugh Denman, this group guarantees a night of some of the most dynamic Jazz in Dublin.

Eoin O’Halloran is an active part of the Irish Jazz scene, playing regularly in venues throughout the country. Recently playing with groups such as Atsch and Parallel Societyhas led him to tour across many countries in Europe performing in several esteemed Jazz Venues and Festivals, including Avignon Jazz and Jazzahead in Bremen. He also acts as a curator for the Dublin Jazz Co-op as well as leading his trio which mixes electronic elements with contemporary Jazz and Folk influences.’
