The Kind of New Series Presents: The Three Islands Collective
At a glance
About this event
The Three Islands Collective will explore a vibrantly eclectic selection of songs from the blues era to the bop era and beyond, concentrating on the lesser-known gems and rarely-sung classics of the Great American Songbook.
Including tunes by Rodgers & Hart, the Gershwins and Duke Ellington, and embracing a variety of interpretive styles, this concert will reveal the musical and poetic riches that lie hidden in the jazz repertoire. Featuring Ronan Murphy on vocals, Shugo Ishii on guitar, Niall Crichton on Drums, and Ryan Molloy on bass. The group’s name is in reference to the distinct international background of both the musicians themselves and the cultures they grew up in.
