Ari Hoenig is a jazz drummer, composer, and educator known for his unusual and intense approach to drumming emphasizing complex rhythms in direct harmony with other group members. Ari is widely noted particularly for his drumming not being relegated to just keeping tempo, or being a side issue to the music he plays in, but rather for elevating drumming as an indispensable part of the performance.
Pianist and composer Nitai Hershkovits has been described as a “Genuine prodigy” by BBC music. He is a charismatic performer with an incredibly strong voice and musical vision.
His dynamic playing crosses boundaries and genres thanks to a light, elegant touch that conveys a full spectrum of deep emotions and contrasts. Guitarist Tom Ollendorff has been fast building a reputation as an outstanding improviser and imaginative composer. His debut album A Song For You (Fresh Sound Records) is an elegantly accomplished mix of gracefully grooving songlike themes, warmly conversational improvising, baroque-like unaccompanied etudes, and headlong fast-bop swing.
