As a student of Jazz performance at DCU, his playing is influenced by a fusion between his Brazilian heritage and contemporary music, drawn from musicians such as João Gilberto, Daniel Santiago and John Scofield.

Tom Maxwell is an Irish pianist. As well as studying jazz in DCU, he is an organist and plays weekly in St Brigid’s Parish, Stillorgan, where he also directs the choir. His influences naturally include Bach, as well as more recent musicians like Red Garland, Oscar Peterson and Emmet Cohen”
Miles Ronayne is an emerging jazz drummer from Meath. Studying BA in Jazz and Contemporary Music Performance in DCU, he has performance and recording experience with the Kasia Eliasz Quintet and DCU JAZZ who covered “Lingus” by Snarky Puppy. His style encompasses traditional approaches from the likes of Elvin Jones and Max Roach and fuses it with contemporary influences such as Bill Stewart and Nate Smith.
Code wrangler by day, bossa nova aficionado by night. Maciej grew up in a musical family, listening to jazz, fusion, and Brazilian music from an early age.
The Gustavo de Morais Quintet will bring to the Workman’s club a selection of compositions by Jobim, in an energetic atmosphere and unique style of playing added from each of the group’s members.
