About this event
The Dublin Jazz Co op presents The Andrea Jones Quartet oin The Vintage Room of The Workman’s Club Sunday, February 27th.
The Andrea Jones Quartet is a collaborative group led by tenor saxophonist Andrea Jones with Patrick Keegan on electric guitar, Aidan Gray on electric bass, and Michael McCarthy on drums. All four members have composed new material for this Dublin Jazz Co-op performance, which is their debut outing as a group.
As composers, each member brings you into a different sound-world comprising group textures and improvisations, expansive narrative themes, and both short and long form compositions inspired by a wide range of jazz; from Monk to Mark Turner.
As players, each member brings a unique voice to their instrument, crafted and nurtured through their time studying in the DCU Centre for Jazz & Contemporary Music, as well as playing across a wide range of styles in Dublin and Ireland’s music scene.
These young musicians are dedicated to bringing each other’s original music to life, and The Workman’s Club Vintage Room is where it will all unfold next Sunday, February 27th.
