Karen Egan's Totally Secret Comeback Concert
At a glance
About this event
After performing in Finland for the last few years, Karen is finally putting down roots once more on Irish soil, and no better place to re-launch herself into the Dublin scene than amidst the beautiful setting of the gorgeous Cobalt Cafe.
With its stunning Georgian drawing rooms this gem of a venue lends itself wonderfully to the intimacy of Karen's show. Accompanied by the remarkable Cian Boylan on piano and the superb sounds of Dave Whyte on jazz guitar, this really does promise to be a celebratory night of divine music. Sporting her lovely pink hair, Karen will perform songs from her recent album 'Charlatanne' (five-star reviews in GCN and HOT PRESS) while treating us to the repertoire of the greats including Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, Jacques Brel, Louis Prima and Stevie Wonder. As always, the show will be peppered with Ms Egan's comic quips, so be prepared for melody and mischief. But shhh! It's a secret!
Due to the intimacy of this delightful space, only 60 lucky punters will be admitted to see this totally secret show, so book now to avoid disappointment!
"Egan strings her cabaret along a glittering line of witty riffs and self-deprecating one-liners... From beret to bowler, top-hat to feather boa, Egan is a consummate role-player."
