About ÄTSCH
Led by Irish-based German guitarist, Matthias Winkler, ÄTSCH fuse contemporary jazz with the aesthetics of modern-day post-rock. ÄTSCH create a sound world combining lyrical melodies with space for improvisation.
Taking their cues in equal measure from post-rock giants like Sigur Rós or Explosions in the Sky, as well as jazz artists like Gilad Hekselman and Julian Lage, ÄTSCH recently became the first Irish artists to perform at the prestigious Jazzahead showcase in Germany.
