Conor Guilfoyle is one of Ireland’s top jazz drummers with more than 30 years experience as both a performer and an educator. As a founding member of the jazz programme at Newpark Music centre it was only right that he should go there to find musicians for his new octet. All are graduates and are some of the finest young musicians out working on the scene today.
The music is a look back to the 1950’s to a style often associated with the west coast of America known as “Cool Jazz”. With arrrangments by Gerry Mulligan, Dave Pell and Gil Evans among others expect a night of swinging tunes played by great musicians for both your listening or dancing pleasure.

Venue details
Bagots Hutton is a space that is flexible in nature, a restaurant one moment, a funky wine bar the next. It is a venue which moves away from the established idea of a different venue for shopping, eating and socialising.
