About this event

Belfast blues guitar legend Ronnie Greer has been at the centre of the Irish blues scene for over 40 years now, and has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the genre, including Dr. John and Memphis Slim, amongst many others.

His distinctive guitar style, merging blistering Chicago style licks with be bop influenced jazz lines, has been critically acclaimed as world class.

With his unique style and virtuoso technique, Richie Buckley is internationally recognised as one of Ireland’s leading jazz performers. Described by the Irish Times as "something of a genius...[with] a world reputation amongst saxophonists", he has collaborated with musicians as diverse as Van Morrison, Freddie Hubbard, Bob Dylan, Georgie Fame, Jon Hendricks, Carlos Santana, Barry Manilow, Elvis Costello and James Williams.

Ronnie is also joined for this gig by Scott Flanigan, rising keyboard star, who will be concentrating mostly on Hammond organ on this date. His trio is completed by Dominic Mullan on drums, one of Dublin's finest, and no stranger to JJ's

"This is a magnificent band, of world class" - Blues in Britain Magazine
