About this event
Dublinjazz.ie Presents at Bagots Hutton LIVE
Charlie Moon is one of the most versatile performers in Dublin. He performs in a number of different projects each emphassing his talent as a singer and an intrumentalist. He has well and truly stepped out of the shadow of his well known parents, Nigel Mooney the guitaris and Mia Parsons his very talented singer.
The Charlie Moon Organisation is a swinging jazz act that formed early in 2017 featuring singer and guitarist Charlie Moon accompanied by organ and drums, playing the blues, groove, funk, hard-bop and soul music.
On the night Charlie Moon was born back in '89, his father Nigel Mooney; a blues / jazz guitarist and singer was supporting the late great B.B.King in the old stadium in Dublin with the Gripewater blues band, so Charlie's genes were steeped in the blues and jazz tradition since day one.
In 2016 he completed his degree in jazz performance and is currently undertaking a Masters in music performance programme.
During his years studying jazz he began gigging professionally and added singing to his canon. His smooth and dulcet voice has often been likened to that of Chet Baker's and his guitar playing style lends itself to the blues and bebop traditions.

Venue details
Bagots Hutton is a space that is flexible in nature, a restaurant one moment, a funky wine bar the next. It is a venue which moves away from the established idea of a different venue for shopping, eating and socialising.
