This month at Eastside Jazz we are celebrating the one-hundredth anniversary of the birth Thelonious Monk, one of the great composers and jazz musicians of the 20th Century. Monk's music has been hugely influential not only to generations of jazz musicians but also across all genres of music.
For this concert, we have a very special lineup featuring some of Dublin's most prominent jazz musicians alongside visiting French drummer Christophe Lavergne. Expect to hear all of Monk's classic compositions being played by the explosive front line of Michael Buckley and Chris Guilfoyle and the swinging rhythm section of Ronan Guilfoyle and Christophe Lavergne. A night not to be missed!
