About this event

Guinness Cork Jazz brings a powerhouse double bill to the Cork School of Music stage. All the way from NYC, Frank Vignola’s Hot Jazz Guitar Trio and from the not so far away, Linley Hamilton Ensemble.

LINLEY HAMILTON ENSEMBLE

This Irish legend has been part of the music scene for over twenty years. When Hamilton isn’t performing at Guinness Cork Jazz Festival he juggles his time as trumpet player, BBC Jazz Broadcaster and Lecturer in music at Ulster University Magee.
Throughout his career he’s worked with renowned artists such as Paul Brady, Van Morrison, Foy Vance and many more! If you can’t wait to see this guy on the Cork School of Music stage, then check out his show ‘Jazzworld with Linley Hamilton’ Friday nights at 10pm on BBC Radio Ulster.

FRANK VIGNOLA’S HOT JAZZ GUITAR TRIO

Frank Vignola joins Guinness Cork Jazz lineup with his “Hot Jazz Guitar Trio”, in collaboration with long-time touring partner Vinny Raniolo, and the young and talented Jan Knutson.
Deemed “one of the brightest stars of the guitar” by the New York Times, Frank has worked with a bunch of top musicians including Ringo Starr, Madonna and Donald Fagen. This trio will have you in awe at their jaw-dropping technique and mastery of musical instruments!

Guinness Cork Jazz festival takes place from October 25th - 29th
