Guinness Cork Jazz welcomes Fred Hersch Trio and T.S Monk Sextet to the Everyman Theatre this October! These two artists are completely different in sound, but both experts in their field - delivering outstanding shows to their fans worldwide.
FRED HERSCH TRIO
Two-time GRAMMY Award Nominee, Fred Hersch is proclaimed as “the most arrestingly innovative pianist in jazz over the last decade” and takes his extraordinary, breathtaking show to the Everyman Theatre at this years festival.
His most recent release, ’Open Book’ captures the bold, adventurousness and intense beauty that has made Hersch one of music’s most renowned solo artists. Catch him alongside his Trio Saturday 27th October.
T.S MONK SEXTET
T.S Monk is an outstanding jazz drummer, composer, and bandleader. He first started off touring with his father in the 1970’s, so you know this New Yorker knows how to put on a good show!
He’s received countless awards for tribute album to his father, “Monk On Monk” which features over over twenty guest artists including Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Arturo Sandoval, and Nnenna Freelon.
