About this event
Sultan Stevenson, still at the tender age of 23, has captivated the jazz scene with his incredible performances and original musical compositions.
Over the last 3-4 years he has emerged as the future superstar of the jazz world. He has played sold-out shows around London and the south of England. He also toured in Ireland in October 2023 to great acclaim and now as we enter 2025 he is set to conquer Europe with huge demand from festivals and clubs.
A Londoner with roots in the Caribbean, Sultan is a product of both Tomorrow’s Warriors and the Julian Joseph Jazz Academy. He is influenced by the work of many of the greats of the jazz piano, including McCoy Tyner, Geri Allen, Herbie Hancock and Kenny Kirkland.
Sultan’s debut album, Faithful One helped to earn him a Parliamentary Jazz Award in 2023 for best newcomer. Now Sultan has signed with the prestigious label Edition Records and will release El Roi in March 2025 - an album critics are already calling “... a gigantic step forward…”
Don’t miss this opportunity to see one of the brightest stars of his generation live.
"…a vivid, dramatic piece of work, melodic and free from dissonance, replete with both light and shade, and infused with the strength and confidence of a far more seasoned musician." Jazzwise on Faithful One
