About this event
The Killian Browne Jazz Quartet brings together four fine musicians who have performed in various musical ensembles in Waterford over many years. The quartet brings you an evening of warm, acoustic jazz and trad pieces, from Ireland, America and beyond.
You’ll hear jazz standards from some of the greats – Charlie Parker, Miles Davis and Sonny Rollins. There’ll also be romance, in the form of tunes like ‘All The Things You Are,’ and ‘I’ve never been in love before.’
The programme features Irish traditional music, including the lively ‘Idir Eatarthu’ from Clonmel born composer Micheál Ó Súilleabháin and the quartet’s own arrangement of ‘Inis Oirr.’ You’ll also have the chance to hear original compositions from Killian Browne himself, which is sure to be a treat.
