About this event
Jazz Mondays at The Complex opens on Monday 17th October with the powerful Dana Masters backed by her band.
Mondays at The Complex feature a new partnership with Improvised Music Company to bring some Irish jazz to The Depot. You may have been here for the Fontaines DC, Temporary Pleasure, DDR’s outdoor Saturdays, contemporary art in the gallery, Fringe and Theatre Festivals or the Slam Poets Wrestling, and now you can enjoy some smooth and sophisticated sounds, beginning with the mesmorising Dana Masters and her band, followed by innovative pianist Cormac McCarthy and then the well-known duo Aengus Hackett/Mike Nielsen who will play a cool evening of Cole Porter
On Monday 17th October, Dana Masters and her band begins this mini series with searing story-telling through Dana’s powerful voice and lyrics. Born and raised in South Carolina and currently based in Northern Ireland, vocalist Dana Master’s career has catapulted from featured vocalist with Van Morrison to a rising international jazz career as a soloist and songwriter.
