Limerick Jazz Workshop (LJW) Big Band is made up from students and professionals who come together to make great music. The band was formed three years ago mainly from students and teachers form Limerick Jazz workshop now in its 12th year which take place on a regular basis at the Learning g Hub in Kileely.
The brainchild of tenor saxophonist Ed Hansom and under the guidance the leadership of maestro Mr Bryan Meehan the band has matured into a unit that has become very comfortable with its surroundings and is now starting to perform on a regular basis. Culture night was a perfect opportunity for the band to showcase these talented musicians and Dolans Warehouse the perfect venue. The band will perform a varied programme consisting of some familiar standards like American Patrol Li'l Darlin' and Sing Sing Sing to more testing tunes like Dave Brubeck's Blue Rondo A La Turk and George Shearing's Lullaby Of Birdland. With 17 musicians on stage this promises to be a belter of an evening.

Dolans pub is the hub of the complex, a traditional Irish bar with Irish music seven nights a week all year round. It has become a cultural attraction and this year received the IMRO award for best Live Music venue in Ireland. The bar is open 12pm daily for lunch and 10am on weekends and public holidays for breakfast.
