About this event
Larry has recorded more than 70 albums as a leader, and played on 40 more as a sideman (and is still recording).
He has performed with Miles Davis, Paco Delucia, John McLaughlin, Stefan Grappelli, Brubeck, Tal Farlow, and Jimi Hendrix and hundreds of others. He is in many Jazz history books and is credited as one of Jazz fusions pioneers.
He has graced the front page of The Rolling Stone magazine, and the inside pages of many others including Guitar Player. He has published many books of his own including an autobiography, and is still touring the world over 50 years after he started Fusion.
Musician magazine named him to its list of 100 greatest guitarists alive today, and during the last 50 years, Larry Coryell's definitely earned that honour. Exploring the sound of the six-string in an extraordinary number of settings, he's done straight-ahead jazz, classical-influenced solo guitar, funk- rock fusion, light pop and guitar duos and trios with some of the top names in jazz.
Larry has earned his LEGEND status.

Venue details
"It's a venue to die for. Wood panelled walls, plush banquette seating and a pristine sound system render the rest of Dublin's night-life cruddy in comparison."The Irish Times
After opening in 1963 The Irish Film Theatre closed its doors in 1985. It would be another 14 years before the space would be used again and so it was in August 1999 that The Sugar Club was born.
