Chamber Jazz at Ranelagh Arts Centre!
Emilie Conway - voice
Johnny Taylor - piano
Damian Evans - bass
Dominic Mullan - drums
“Her own vocalese to Coltrane’s solo demonstrating her abilities to their fullest, flitting through the lyrics at a tempo most rappers would be envious of, while maintaining a bouncing melody and clarity of diction throughout. ”
- GoldenPlec
"Star of the show is Conway's voice."
- Hot Press
This return concert to the Ranelagh Arts Centre bookends a very exciting year for Emilie. Following her performance at Ranelagh Arts' sell-out celebration of writer Maeve Brennan in the Spring, she was invited to perform in New York and Chicago in May. She came home to sell out the John Field Room at the National Concert Hall with her own "You Won't Forget Me," Celebration of Maeve Brennan together with her quartet. All quite magical and all began at the RAC ... but then Emile has long believed there's magic in the walls of Ranelagh Arts Centre!
Please note: numbers are strictly limited to do book early to avoid disappointment! There is some restricted viewing, so do come early to get a seat and put in some quality time with the mulled wine and mince pies kindly sponsored by Morton's!
