About this event
London-based first-call session musician Paul Clarvis and Cathy Jordan some years ago at Sligo Jazz Project and two have since collaborated on several projects which combine interpretations of jazz, folk and gospel classics.
Better known as the voice of the legendary Irish folk Dervish, Jordan’s gift for interpreting all genres of song and making it her own is common knowledge in the Sligo area and further afield. Her ability to make any song sound like a folk song is testament to a unique voice which goes unrivalled in modern folk music. With added jazz improvisations of Messrs Clarvis, Stuart Hall, Conor Murray and Dr. Scott Flanigan, and all we can say is expect the unexpected!
