Labels aren't easy when it comes to Vernon Jane. Are they a rock band with jazz sensibilities, or a jazz combo who seriously know how to rock out?
Who cares! What's certain is that they've been generating quite a buzz on the Dublin scene over the past year, and the momentum is starting to build.
Their influences are across a wide spectrum, from jazz through to psychedelic rock, with fast melodies and sharp beats overlayered by singer Emily Jane's sometimes dreamy, trance like singing exploring the darkness, the light and every shade of grey.
An energetic and expressive Dublin-based outfit who have followed the road less travelled to arrive to where they are today, the group launched their first EP in Dublin in March - two years after this group of young musicians first came together in Dublin.
Much is expected of Vernon Jane this Summer, with festival dates at events including Electric Picnic are on the cards for later in 2016.

The Lounge is a comfortable spot in which to enjoy exciting music acts from Wed – Sun (Live Lounge). The stage has been recently renovated and the standard of equipment is top-notch. Music has always been important in The Harbour Bar and it is fast becoming an important venue for new music. The lovely Snug is perfect for a quiet pint and a chat. The Bar is full of character; it plays host to traditional Irish music sessions from Wed – Sat.
