About this event

"Thought You Knew" is the second album from Snowpoet, the London based band led by writing duo of Jazz FM Vocalist of the Year (2016) Lauren Kinsella and multi-instrumentalist Chris Hyson. The band also features Josh Arcoleo on saxophone, Matt Robinson on keys, Nick Costley-White on guitar and Dave Hamblett on drums.

Born out of a deep musical friendship and understanding, their acclaimed eponymous debut Snowpoet won rave reviews and a devoted audience for their compelling sound, drawing comparisons with Bjork. Thought You Knew takes their musical collaboration and sound to the next level, blending sweet hook laden vocal lines with warm and lush arrangements. This music is infectious, delicate and tasteful. With a new home at Edition Records, they are set to reach new heights in their profile confirming their reputation as one of the most innovative and creative new bands in the UK today.

Join them on their PRSF Beyond Boarders 2018 tour with performances in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England.

The Triskel Arts Centre

Triskel Arts Centre, Tobin St,

Triskel Arts Centre is a vibrant cultural HUB in the heart of Cork City and we celebrated 40 years in 2018. Our main auditorium Triskel Christchurch is a multidisciplinary space housed in a fully refurbished neoclassical Georgian Church.

This state of the art venue, which launched in 2011, is programmed with a rich bill of live music, with a focus on Classical and Jazz concerts, cultural cinema, visual art exhibitions and literary events. Triskel also runs a contemporary art room Triskel Gallery Space. Unique in Ireland, Theatre Development Centre is the only fulltime operation dedicated to the development of theatre, this is managed by Corcadorca Theatre Company.
