About this event
Carole Nelson is one of Ireland's most regarded jazz pianist and composers. Her trio's debut CD, One Day in Winter was inspired by the South County Carlow landscape where she lives.
It traces the arc of one winter's day from before dawn to moonrise over the Blackstairs Mountains. Supported by Cormac O'Brien on bass and Dominic Mullan on drums, Carole's music is a journey through a human landscap as much as a physical one - meditation, wonder, playfulness, contemplation of ageing and deathe, human warmth and companionship.
