About this event
GJF are delighted to be teaming up with 'Adventures in Music' to present this very special concert aimed specifically at the under 10 year olds. The idea is very simple. Children are invited to bring a cushion so that they can sit near the performers, ask questions and see up close how the instruments work.
Adventures in Music is a Galway-based music education intiative that has been providing highquality child and family-friendly music events in Galway city and county for over ten years. In addition to Cushion Concerts, Adventures in Music runs a number of music literacy and music education programmes in primary schools in Galway City and County in partnership with Galway-based Music School Maoin Cheoil na Gaillimhe.

Venue details
The Black Gate is a place of the arts. It has been born with creativity at its heart, and, with it, we will further assert the creative soul of this city. With music, literature, art, film, dance, and learning, we will create a home for the artist and a haven for art lovers. This will be a place to enjoy. Both for the events that happen here or for the atmosphere. Whether listening to a concert, watching a film, listening to a speaker, enjoying reading a book in the library with a coffee or a glass of wine, or having a good night with old friends, we will welcome you, we will look after you, and we will entertain you.
